Silver Bay Partners launch \u201cSpend the day in Silver Bay\u201d campaign\u00a0Contact: Alice Tibbetts,\u00a0 651.399.7329June 13, 2024<\/strong>\u00a0Three businesses and one attraction have teamed up to promote Silver Bay as a \u2018must-stop\u2019 tourist destination.\u00a0 Timber Coffee, located downtown; the North Shore Adventure Park and Black Beach Mini-Golf on Highway 61, and the Gitchi Gami Trail Association.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0They will work with Grand Marais-based\u00a0North Shore Explorer to launch an influencer marketing campaign. Owner Melissa Dressely will produce and distribute videos that highlight the partnering businesses (along with the natural assets of the area)\u00a0 on North Shore Explorer\u2019s social media, email, and website from summer through fall.\u00a0 The first video is here:\u00a0\u00a0https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/reel\/996779211826206<\/a>\u00a0Our goal with \u201cSpend the day in Silver Bay\u201d is to encourage visitors to stop on their drive up from Duluth or down from Thunder Bay, said Alice Tibbetts, owner of the Adventure Park.\u00a0 \u201cWe need to celebrate what a great destination we are.\u00a0 Along with promoting the Black Beach, our great hiking, and state parks, we want tourists to also support our businesses and attractions.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The partnership includes the non-profit Gitchi-Gami Trail Association (GGTA), which comes right into downtown Silver Bay from Highway 61.\u00a0 \u201cIt is a beautiful ride with great overlooks and we want to encourage\u00a0 riders to come up and enjoy local businesses,\u201d\u00a0 said Michelle Pierson,\u00a0 with the GGTA.\u00a0 \u201cWe also sponsor a summer bike ride that goes through Silver Bay and we\u2019d like that to be better known.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The campaign is funded by a grant from Best of the North Shore, which promotes tourism in Silver Bay with a\u00a0 3% sales tax on lodging and campgrounds in the city.\u00a0\u00a0www.BestoftheNorthShoremn.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
