LEARN TO SKATE RETURNS ON FRIDAY JANUARY 22ND AT 11:30AM
If you have registered for Learn to Skate or would like to this Friday we are back.
For those that registered you may enter the arena @ 11:25 am. Please come wearing everything that you would wear on the ice except your skates. You will enter the door signed Learn to Skate.
Anyone that would still like to register you may register on Friday. Enter the arena through the door signed learn to skate at 11:15 and you can sign up.

The outdoor rink is open until 9:00 pm. No warming house allowed. Minnesota Health Department is still requiring that social distancing must be followed and no contact between people of different house holds. Please park in the upper lot and walk down to rink.
The City Council of the City of Silver Bay, through its Economic Development Authority, and in cooperation with Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB), has developed a low-interest (1%) loan fund, with potential for a portion of the loan to be forgiven, known as the COVID-19 Taconite Community Relief Loan Program. The principal objective of the program is to offer assistance with working capital, delayed business expansion, delayed capital asset investment, or other business needs that have been delayed due to the impacts of the pandemic. Priority will be given to small businesses. [ST. PAUL, MN] – As hospitals express concern about capacity to treat Minnesotans with COVID-19, Governor Tim Walz today announced new restrictions aimed at curbing the spread of the virus in Minnesota. Beginning on Friday, November 13, 2020, the restrictions will apply to social gatherings, celebrations and receptions, and bars and restaurants, which are three of the most significant sources of COVID-19 outbreaks across the state. Governor Walz also announced $10 million in funding to support small businesses affected by the pandemic.

The City of Silver Bay would like individuals interested in serving on various City Boards and Commissions to submit application. These Boards and Commissions are the working boards to recommend action to our City Council. Meetings are typically quarterly or monthly depending on the Board. There may be special meetings called, but are only on occasion. All you have to do is be committed to attending the meetings, engage in conversation, bring forth and be open to ideas, and be willing to work towards the betterment of our community. The COVID-19 Housing Assistance Program provides housing assistance payments to help prevent eviction, prevent homelessness, and maintain housing stability for eligible renters and homeowners. Local administrators will review applications from individuals and families requesting assistance, verify eligibility, and process payments for eligible expenses on behalf of households.
