SENIOR CITIZENS WORKSHOP MEETING & CLEAN-UP DAY
The City of Silver Bay will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. at the Senior Citizens Workshop. The City of Silver Bay Parks and Recreation Dept. would also like to clean-up the dust and scrap wood in the workshop. Your input and help is greatly appreciated.
The City of Silver Bay has multiple openings on various Boards and Commissions. Individuals interested in serving on any of the Boards and/or Commissions, please stop by City Hall to complete an application.
The City of Silver Bay is accepting applications for the position of Part-time Police Officer within the Police Department and also creating an eligibility list for any future Full-time Police Officer openings. The primary function is to patrol city streets and roads, enforce laws and ordinances, and conduct investigations. Applicants must be eligible to be MN POST Board licensed, or currently, MN POST Licensed at time of application. A comprehensive background investigation, medical and psychological examinations are required as a condition of employment. This is a part-time position with competitive wages. The City of Silver Bay is accepting applications for a permanent part-time position of Confidential Secretary within the City Administration Office. The primary function is to record and transcribe the proceedings of the City Council and all other Boards and Commissions of the City. Prepare agendas, meeting packets, research data, post meetings, maintain records, and assist in other office duties as necessary. Applicants must have graduated from high school or have a GED equivalent, one year experience using word processing programs including Microsoft Excel and Word, and have the ability to work and communicate with the public and city employees. This is a permanent part-time position with flexible hours and competitive wages. East Lakeview Drive south of the Agate Beach parking lot is closed to foot and vehicle traffic due to a sanity sewer line replacement.
